Ascending from deep within her cavernous lair,
patient Chaos, chameleon skinned and inky veiled,
wrapped storied tentacles round well ordered minds,
 and bit with razored beak,
into what little moral was left,
among the officers of the First Order Maintenance Fleet.

How can one man be sure of anything in this world.
 Is he foolish or fearless,
when not being prudent? It's pistols at dawn,
 pistols at lunch,
pistols at tea, pistols wrapped up tight for stores....
 oh the clues.
Coal and grass have each been given 5 minute slots on this years news.
 Cakes are nice with pretzels.......
but that is...................... Far, far away from this place,
 where sometimes nothing, ever, happens.
Ancient grumbles spills from rips and cracks,
in  backsides, of leather love seats.

Come on, cope with this now and you won't regret it later.
Bet your bottom dollar the end won't be announced on the radio.
What could the past possibly teach us about the future?
What were we missing?
The late arrivals had cost them dearly,
but this 'uncertainty' threatened the whole mission.
The flight would go ahead, behind schedule, but now the possibility of a catastrophic failure could not be ignored.
 'get Glib',
 'Glib is depressed, sir'
'He's not much use when he's depressed'
 'Then get me Flippant'
 'Flippant has wandered off
' 'What? When?'
 'Just after you arrived'
'Does he not understand the gravity of the situation?
' 'Well that's just it sir, he never does.'
'Yes, yes.......Well you will have to do Sub Lieutenant.
' 'Do what sir?' 'Bring him up to speed, Piffle'
' Ah yes well, you see, we, that is to say that, certain individuals,
since the 'irregularities' of the last mission seem to be experiencing an increasing number of 'Probability' issues.....''…..
it's not just people but the things as well....
' 'Like today's traffic...'
 'traffic sir?'
'the snafus, the hold ups, unheard of since the mid 21st century you know, before things were, coordinated.
''I mean how can we plan for anything if we don't know what's going to happen?'
'anyway its all about morale now, and with Glib and Flippant indisposed its up to you Sub Lieutenant.......'
'….done any flying?''no sir..a bit of floating but....
.''never mind that, I want you on board and ready to fly without delay!' 'Delay sir?''Just get on board!''Yes Sir....my wife sir, she's expecting me for dinner at seven, I imagine she might... worry......''Piffle will sort things out with the Mrs., won't you lad''If needs must....''”If needs must, the muster will”, now get on with it!
'' But My marbles need polishing.....the Leutenant looking flustered
''Take them with you''  the commander feeling agitated
"All of them?'
'Take the truck.'
If Chaos needed a boost, she would not get it from George Heller third Sub Lieutenant of the Grading ship, Mercy, ship shapest ship in the whole Diplomatic core. Routine was not just key to his life, his very survival depended on it. The only mistake in the history of Heller was his conception, and so now to find himself hurtling through space and late for supper! well............
thinking petulance in nature is caused by a breakdowns in communication between the celestial bodies of the solar system.
Observation of the tides is key to human understanding of The Moon and her moods.” “but the paradox..” rang out from the front of the room

“sir?” “The moon, free-wheeling love child of an ancient apocalypse. The product of a most unwelcome advance, and yet key to life itself.......”
